Following substantial investment in new cnc machinery, Hi-Spec CNC are able to offer sub-contract multi axis machining supplying customers across the UK and Europe.

Our equipment and facilities include:-

    - CNC Milling up to 3 metres in length
    - Horizontal CNC Milling with multiple pallets to 700mm cube
    - CNC Precision Turning with driven tooling up to 1.5 metres in length
    - CNC Turning with sub-spindle & driven tooling for larger batch work
    - CNC Press Brakes up to 4 metres
    - Vaqua Blasting

In addition to producing high quality CNC machined components, Hi-Spec offer full turnkey solutions regularly producing complex assemblies for Emergency Service and Commercial vehicles utilising their machining and fabrication expertise.

In addition to their wide sub-contract capability, Hi-Spec also design and manufacture a range of workshop equipment including the renowned Clarendon Presses together with a wide range of Belt Sanders, Grinders and Polishers.

WEC GROUP ACQUIRE NUTTER AIRCRAFTS LIMITED

WEC Group Limited a Darwen based Engineering Group has acquired Nutter Aircrafts Ltd based in Blackburn, Lancashire.

Nutter Aircrafts Ltd was established in 1939 by Bertie Nutter originally building his own aircraft and has grown under its current management to be a leading supplier of high quality precision machined parts to a wide variety of industries.  WEC Group has purchased the Company employing 18 staff to complement its existing machining facility Hi-Spec CNC. 

Nutter Aircrafts Ltd will continue to be run by its existing management team who will ensure that the change of ownership is totally seamless to all customers

Paul Aplin, General Manager of Hi-Spec CNC commented ‘ This is great opportunity for WEC Group, as the combination of the two machine shops enables us offer a wider range of high quality 24/7 services to our customers and sees us working in a wide range of markets which are key to future growth’

WEC Group Ltd are delighted to announce they have been awarded the "Business of the Year Award 2009" sponsored by The Lancashire Evening Telegraph. At an awards night held at Blackburn Rovers we were awarded the premier prize. There were 117 entries for this category so we are especially honoured to have won.
